Okay, Farrah Fawcett, I expected as much, considering that she was in her last stage of cancer, and her chemotherapy didn't work, but Michael Jackson?! What the hell?! Jeez, all it took was one day for two famous celebrities to kick the bucket. Guess that just goes to show you how every second of someone's life counts. :( I just can't believe it.

If you've been to SiliCon in the past like me, you might have received a little something in mail sometime this week. I received a SiliCon 2009 brochure today in the mail. Unfortunately their website isn't updated, so there are no details. Allow me to spell it out for you guys. SiliCon will take place at the DoubleTree Hotel in San Jose -- the one right off of HWY 101. Here are the pre-registration rates:
$40 Full Membership until June 1, 2009
$50 Full Membership until August 1, 2009
$55 Full Membership until September 15, 2009
$60 Full Membership AT THE DOOR
If you're interested in signing up for SiliCon, please download the pre-registration form below.

Other than the fact that I have posted two forms in the PDF document (one for you, and one for a friend of yours), I didn't edit the registration application in any manner, so it's totally legit. All you need to do is cut in the middle of the page, fill out the form, and mail it in with your payment. And yes, I did get approval from the convention chair to do this. That is all. :)

I haven't told many people about this -- one, I was sick and trying to recuperate from my two week illness, and two, I didn't want to get my hopes up on something that may or may not show up at my house... considering the ordeals that I had to go through in terms of UPS. :p But, I now have a fifth resin child, and this time, it's a boy. His name is Eli, he's a Luts Kid Delf An, who was born on little bro's birthday, on March 21, 2009 at 11:03 am. So far, these are the only photos I have of him

Anyone remember my good friend JoAnne? She was Sailor Neptune during the Senshi Mystery skit back at Fanime Con 2000, as well as Juri from the Revolutionary Girl Utena skit we did back at Fanime Con 2002. Well, she's retired from cosplay since that Utena skit, and was working steadily on being an illustrator. If this doesn't spell "accomplishment", then I don't know what will:

When I decided to attend Nan Desu Kan held in Denver, CO, back in October of 2000, I didn't do any research of any kind. I chose the convention because I knew quite a few people who were going to the event, and because I was sick of my father constantly putting his foot down on every decision I made. *laughs* What I liked about the convention was that it was small and friendly, and I didn't have to worry about where to get a meal. My friends were there to either take me to the nearest restaurants, or to bring me a meal. The downside from that trip was when I fell ill on the first night of the con, due to altitude sickness. :(
Years later, there were a couple of conventions that I went to, where some of my friends couldn't afford the hotel price (even though they were at convention rates), they didn't have a clue as to where to go for meals, and they didn't know how to get from point A to point B. Of course, that never stopped me from doing my own research before I left San Francisco for these conventions. :) I have yet to attend a convention, where I have absolutely no sense of direction. I thought, "you know? If I can manage, why is everyone else having such a hard time?" Possibly because they don't know where to look. *shrugs* If that's the case, then maybe it's about time I showed people just how easy it is. Just make sure you do the research before you leave your home. :)

I decided to make a video of myself giving a demonstration on how to make takoyaki using the Perfect Puff (a similar product to the Pancake Puff that you see in those infomercials).
NOTE: As I was editing the video, I had no idea that I kept saying "like so" a bunch of times during the whole demonstration. Oh... my... God. *shakes head* What in the hell was I thinking? I don't know what's worse -- someone saying "you know", or someone saying "like so" far too many times. That's it; the next time I do a cooking demonstration, I'm gonna write a script before I even consider filming myself. :p Other than the many times I said that phrase, I do encourage you to watch the takoyaki cooking demo, and you're more than welcome to tease me about what I said. Just don't say things like, "you suck", or "you're a fucking idiot", or stuff like that. Enjoy!!! :)

Don't mind me. Just bored today. Of course, I just went on YouTube, and I noticed this video. The last time I saw this video was back in high school when I took Driver's Ed during my freshman year. I thought it was funny, but at the same time informative. I highly recommend this video to anyone who doesn't have their driver's license yet. Kurt Russell is the narrator for this movie. Have a look-see:
Enjoy!!! :)

This weekend was a total drag for me. :p On the other hand, sometimes it pays to have a lot of time on your hands. Otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to create this video. Here's a final compilation of footage taken from the Golden Gate Renaissance Faire back in 2006. After over two years, I finally have the video up on YouTube. Well... better late, than never, I always say. Enjoy!!!

During my weekend spent at SiliCon (possible details later), I drove to Fry's Electronics, a few blocks away from the convention, and I managed to get the necessary cord needed to hook my video camera to my laptop. Once I got home from the con, I decided to put the cord to the test, and I managed to upload not one, not two, but three videos. These are clips taken from the video footage I got when I attended the Renaissance Faire with Black Fleet back in the Summer of 2006. :) Yeah, I should get back to filming conventions and events, as well as take photos. :) In the meantime, enjoy!!! :)
This is a video of my friend, JoAnne learning how to fence. :)

This isn't really an update. I decided to look at some clips on YouTube, and I came across these ones. I couldn't stop crying after seeing the Family Feud one. It was just too funny. As for the other clip, wait for the Wheel of Fortune one. That one got me... particularly the way Pat Sajak reacted. Enjoy!!! *lol*

For months, I've been trying to look for a good sofa for my ball-jointed dolls, but it was so hard to find furniture for my dolls that didn't cost anywhere from $75 to $100. I went to a couple of second-hand stores, and I managed to find one sofa that I absolutely liked at St. Vincent de Paul in Daly City. It was a beautiful sofa, but alas, they wouldn't sell it to me. The people there were using that doll sofa to display costume jewelry?! What the fuck?! Talk about stupid if you ask me. Last I checked, a doll sofa is to be used for a doll, not some cruddy jewelry that costs anywhere from 25 cents to $2.00. I'll never step foot in that second-hand store again. :p
I thought, "you know, maybe it would be better if I just built a sofa for my dolls, and put my creativity to the test." I went on Amazon.com as well as Borders.com, and I found a book on how to make wooden doll furniture. I thought, "okay, I'll make a stop at Borders when I take the bus home and see if I can get the book there." So, I get off work at 4:30 pm, and I figured that since I had some time before the bus arrives, I might as well go to Home Goods to see if I could find a comforter for my bed. Personally, I love my quilts, however, they're never really warm enough on cold nights here in San Francisco. As I went into the bedding aisle, I noticed an entire shelf full of doll furniture, and low and behold, I found the perfect couch for my dolls. It's not as fancy as the sofa that I saw in St. Vincent de Paul or in the Volks store in Torrance, but it looked like a nice couch to me. Also, it's not everyday that I would find a doll couch for only $20.00. I thought, "sold. I got my girls a couch."

Well, well, well. Mini-Me Lady Saiyan and I are in an episode of Cosette & Eponine. I was so ecstatic the minute I saw this clip posted on YouTube. I wasted no time in watching the entire video, thinking, "this is just too cool." I thought it was great, not to mention an honor to have Mini-Me Lady Saiyan alongside Cosette and Eponine. Personally, I'm never really satisfied with my voice. I sound kind of nasal in and out of character. Oh, well. *shrugs* If you guys haven't seen the clip, have a look-see. Enjoy!!! :)

You know, it's one thing when someone says, "I don't have enough money to purchase that item." At least they were honest about it and moved on... didn't they?
I wholeheartedly agree with the person who made this sad announcement on the DoA board a couple of days ago. You'd think that someone has already been taught to never take things that don't belong to them. *shakes head* I didn't post this sooner because I wanted to make sure that the information was accurate, but now, it's been confirmed. :(

This is the very first time I have ever used Windows Movie Maker to create a music video. I'm so used to using Pinnacle Studio 8 for anything I post on YouTube. Honestly, I think I like Windows Movie Maker better because it doesn't freeze my machine, and the program allows me to save the file in a lot less time. That's it. I'm totally ditching Pinnacle, and I'm so sticking to Windows Movie Maker... unless, of course there is someone who would like to tell me otherwise. *shrugs*
Anyway, you've already seen Mini-Me Lady Saiyan's video. Now, it's time for Hazel to take the spotlight. Enjoy!!! :)
